Extended Senses is a public art project supported by City of Helsingborg and Helsingör municipality and was displayed during the city fair H22 in the summer of 2022.

We designed and built this light sculpture that controls just over 100 meters of LED tape. The shape of the sculpture is inspired of nature which is then segmented to create a dynamic and soft expression. Each LED is synchronized and controlled by specially developed software.
The pattern that is generated in the sculpture is an abstract representation of collected data there each color corresponds to a separate parameter such as temperature, humidity and noise level.

The entire project has been a collaboration with a Danish collective named Healthy Mind Tech which has developed its own sensors that read a variety of different types of data from their environment.

This data is then sent to a remote server like ours system reads from. The sculpture shows collected data from the last 24 hours which makes it unique for each day is on display.
