Our proposal for the BRIGHT FESTIVAL CONNECT in Leipzig, Germany 2021.

Parallel Universe is an audiovisual installation showing a back projected video in the ceiling using two blended short throw projectors.

The video shows shadows of people walking on a thin layer of frosted glass. The people and the glass is a representation of the disconnection we are currently facing between ourselves and others. We share the same world, but still we are further apart than ever before, as we could easily be from different universes, separated by a thin layer of indifference.

The installation is meant to invoke thoughts and feelings about our lives in this universe, and perhaps bring everyone else a little closer.

What if we could be more conscious about how our actions directly affect others?

How would our lives be different if we treated others like ourselves living a different life?
